The (not so glowy) Sunrise

Sunsets are usually glowy, warm light bathing every leaf it touches. I love them. They help me produce some of my best work.

But this was the only warm/glowy sun I got this morning. It lasted all of two minutes before it hid behind the clouds. I have to admit, I was a bit perturbed. But then I chided myself. Look at the rows & rows of soybeans. Look at the patterns they make on the rolling hills. Listen to the birds chirping. Look at those wet leaves. Feel that cool air. Breathe it in. It's gorgeous out here. Capture it. Now.The water droplets on the leaves. So pretty. So refreshing. It's the little things. The fuzziness of the soybean stems. They're still glowing. They're catching light. The sun started to peek out here. Not warm sun, but the kind that works through the clouds and lights everything up.It darkened again as fast as it came. But this is my favorite shot of the morning. It's not warm. It's not glowy. It's cool, crisp. Refreshing.
